Fundamentals is priced on a per-user-per-year basis, paid annually in advance. There are two types of users:

• • • • Full Users – these are your colleagues whose work requires full use of Business Central’s rich features. An example of full users would be accounting and finance staff.
      • Team Users – Team users tend to represent a significant percentage of all the folks in your organization – managers who have to approve transactions, or staff who want to enter time, expenses and purchase requests.

Your Fundamentals partner will have more detailed information, with prices starting at $2,040 per year. Team Users’ starting price is $180 per user per year.  These prices are inclusive of all Microsoft hosting, database and server licenses. Please note that some discounts may apply to qualifying nonprofit organizations after approval from Microsoft. Please ask your partner to help submit your application to Microsoft.

Great question! Thanks for asking. Essentially we all know that it “takes a village” to raise a child well. In the same sense, it takes a community to create great customer satisfaction. Here’s how that works:

Microsoft knows it cannot be all things to all businesses, so it engages with reputable Industry Solution Vendors (ISVs) like Tangicloud, to expand the capabilities of Business Central to meet the needs of specific industries. In this case, nonprofits and governments. With over 20 years in this industry, Tangicloud has the expertise and desire to build additions to Business Central that make your work much easier. We have fully integrated fund accounting features throughout Business Central in order for your organization to operate as it should, with transparency, oversight on transactions, and great stewardship for you and your constituents.

HOWEVER . . .

Tangicloud recognizes that we cannot be all things to all nonprofits and governments (there are literally millions of you in our community!). So, Tangicloud works with exceptional Value Added Resellers, Consulting Firms and CPA organizations to bring the product to you and help you install and implement our software, and then train your staff well, in order to bring about the best success possible, and the outcome we’re all looking for: ONE HAPPY CUSTOMER!

You will always own your own data with a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central subscription. Your data is only used to give you the services you want. Neither Microsoft nor Tangicloud shares your data with advertisers, nor do we mine it for marketing or advertising purposes. Here’s more from Microsoft and our license agreement.

Furthermore, in the event you decide to move away from our Apps, Microsoft will provide you your data in a BACPAC format, meaning that any one of thousands of techies around the world can work with you to extract your data and move it to another solution. NOTE: NOT ALL CLOUD VENDORS WILL DO THIS FOR YOU!

Microsoft is a world class provider of cloud servers, operating systems, applications and services. As such, they are committed to the security of your data at all times. Here is some information from Microsoft about where your data is stored and how secure it is.

Not everyone in your organization needs full user licenses. Still, you’ll want to be able to give access to everyone on your team to complete tasks that otherwise take too much time from your finance staff. We’re happy to offer these Team Apps (priced separately from Fundamentals) to help keep your organization running at top speed:

• • • • Time Sheets – that allow users to enter time directly into your system & route them for management review.
      • Expense Reports – Employees and volunteers can enter expenses directly into Fundamentals or imported from Expensify, thus enabling your employees to use their mobile devices to easily scan receipts and save your time.
      • Purchase Requisitions – With Fundamentals’ requisitions with commitments, your team can request goods and services and route planned expenses for approval. These requisitions may be fulfilled via quotes, purchase orders, or from inventory.

There are features within nonprofit or government organizations that are critical to outstanding operations but only to some organizations. We’re committed to on-going development and sales of those important features, but they will be added as separate features that you can opt to purchase. The only “required” application is Fundamentals. Here are some of the other applications currently available:

Generally, we work hard to innovate and improve the product to earn your annual renewals. This is done automatically with an invoice and payment in plenty of time so that your service avoids disruption of any kind.

Approximately 2 to 3 months before your subscription expires, either your partner or Tangicloud will contact you with information about renewing your subscription. This will generally be in the form of an email, but if we don’t hear from you within a reasonable timeframe, our sales team will reach out to you or your partner with a friendly phone call reminder. Please feel free to ask any questions of your partner representative, and we’ll work to ensure your continued customer satisfaction.

In several decades of designing software for nonprofits and governments, the Tangicloud team asked our customers, prospects and partners a key question: “What are all the features that all nonprofits or governments need?” From that question came a wealth of ideas, some of which ended up in the base product, Fundamentals, and some of which became “advanced apps” – additional functionality that not every organization needs.
